The Gunners are now heading into a very huge clash with Rennes at the Emirates stadium in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Unai Emery’s men were once again criticised by many fans and pundits last week as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against French minnows Rennes in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie.

It was the Gunners’ first ever loss to a team from France in competitive football and that result now sees Arsenal fighting for their lives, heading into the second leg.

What is comforting for Unai Emery though is the fact that his side managed to defeat Premier League top four rivals Manchester United 2-0 at home on Sunday evening.

The Gunners will have to repeat a performance of that nature, if they are to remain in the hunt for their first major European trophy in history.

Below is the starting eleven which we are expecting from Emery on Thursday…

Leno

Sokratis – Koscielny – Monreal

Maitland-Niles – Xhaka – Ramsey – Kolasinac

Aubameyang – Lacazette – Iwobi
