Arsenal’s underwhelming performance in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United did not go unnoticed by the players themselves.
During the first-half, the Gunners failed to record a shot on target – the first time that had occurred in the Premier League since the 1-0 victory over Norwich City in April this year.
That barren run continued into the second half on Saturday as it took an 89 minute header from Olivier Giroud to register Arsenal’s first meaningful attempt at goal.
Thankfully, the former Montepellier striker’s effort found the back of the net as Arsene Wenger’s men clinched a draw they scarcely deserved.
Arsenal’s display at Old Trafford failed to impress many and Carl Jenkinson, who was making his first ever start in the league this season, has admitted the team hardly performed.
