Arsenal fans have been boosted by the news that the Gunners’ record signing from the January transfer window is likely to be involved with the first team very soon.
Arsene Wenger’s men are set to lock horns with Everton at the Emirates stadium after suffering a 3-1 defeat away to Swansea City on Tuesday night.
That loss at the Liberty stadium means the pressure is very much on Arsenal to make up some more ground in the race for a top four finish as they sit eight points behind fourth place.
Of course, less than 24 hours after the disappointment against Swansea City, what lifted the mood amongst the Arsenal faithful was the announcement that Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang had signed for the club.
The 28-year-old star, who had managed to score 22 goals in competitions for Dortmund this season ahead of the move, was able to train with his new teammates for the rest of the week.
And ahead of the clash with Everton on Saturday, Aubameyang’s jersey was spotted in the dressing, meaning he may well be named in the squad for the game.
