Picture: What Jack Wilshere has posted after awful 2-1 defeat to Brighton
Jack Wilshere took to social media to post an emotional message for the Arsenal faithful following what happened on Sunday afternoon.
Arsene Wenger’s men have endured a frustrating 2018 so far which has seen them lose more games in all competitions.
Indeed, after last Sunday’s defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final and the 3-0 loss to the same opponent a couple of days later, no other side in the English top flight has lost more games in this calendar year than Arsenal.
The disappointment certainly continued on Sunday as the Gunners traveled to face a Brighton side whom many expected to provide a stern test.
Jack Wilshere was back in the starting eleven but once again, his efforts were not enough to help stop the rot as Arsenal suffered yet another defeat.
And following the final whistle, the midfielder had a message for the frustrated fans on social media…
I'm sorry to the gooners out there. You deserve better. Thats all i have to say. I know its difficult at the moment in this difficult period we are going through as a team but we need you. We will do better but please stick with us ❤ pic.twitter.com/UTsCdXkQmB
