Proof: What Suarez has done to attract Gunners
Considering the fact that he is a talented footballer but a troubled one too, Arsenal’s interest in Luis Suarez did not come without a few surprised faces. But if you are to question what good the Gunners see in the Uruguayan at all, here is your answer.
Indeed, going by the saying “you are as good as your last season”, Luis Suarez may be worth every bit of the £40m bid Arsenal are reportedly set to submit to Liverpool.
Here is an infographic of Suarez’s statistics from last season.
It doesn’t make football or business sense for Liverpool to sell to Arsenal for any less than Suarez’s true value plus the potential champions league revenue that they’d be waving goodbye to.
Nevermind the piffle John Cross has been writing; forget about this deal happening. Arsenal is the last club Liverpool would be willing to strengthen right now.
Yeah… Except that Suarez has a 40m buy-out clause. Never mind what Rodgers thinks he can pull, a buy-out clause is a buy-out clause. If the clause is met then the club cant do nowt to stop the player agreeing terms and transferring over. Done.
There is not a buyout clause. Doesn’t exist. Stopping hanging your hopes on a fairy tale.
Lol, there’s no buy-out clause
Where you at the contract signing? How exactly do you know that he has a buyout clause? Quotes from legitimate sources please.
If there was a £40m buy-out clause, the player would have gone already.
Im sure Liverpool are going to do really well next season with a troubled bag of unhappy…..think its time for them to take the 40 mil and move on.
yeah well Liverpool sold Toress to Chelsea, so I don’t know what your on about
It’s very simple. Chelsea aren’t Arsenal.
As a gooner, you know how much more important it is to finish in the top-4 than it is to finish in the top-1.
That’s why the RVP to Man U deal wasn’t business critical to Arsenal and why the Torres to Chelsea deal wasn’t business critical to Liverpool.
A Suarez to Arsenal (or Spurs) deal is business critical because of the direct threat those two clubs pose to Liverpool’s top-4 ambitions.
There’s an obligation upon the club to inform Suarez and his advisors that a bid has been lodged once it is of £40M, but there’s it’s certainly not a buy out clause as has been suggested. This point has been clarified by senior Anfield sources already. As already mentioned by previous posters, I would expect LFC to expect a considerable amount more than that figure to consider strengthening a PL rival. I’m sure this point will, or has already been, made to Suarez’s advisors. I genuinely cannot see LS getting transferred to the Gunners unless a truly astronomical sum is offered. If Suarez is to leave LFC this window, I would expect it to be a move to the continent.
hahaha Rival ???? have a laugh. spuds and everton are your rivals, top 4 is a distant dream for liverpool.
Yeah right m8 he asked for a clause that simply says they have to tell him when an offer reaches 40 mill but he then cant do anything about it why bother asking for such a clause when it gives the person demanding it no powers whatso ever
If a release clause exists, why are Arsenal fannying around offering less? Because they’re not serious, perhaps?
The whole point of a release clause is to bypass negotiations and do a deal quickly.
If that’s the case, then it’s a terrible/frivolous clause that I’ve never heard any other player have. Why would Suarez and his advisors agree to such a clause? So a club bids 40 mil and they just have to tell him that such a bid has been lodged by another club? WHY? Doesnt that sound like a confidence booster thing? ‘Wow I’m really good. People want 40 mil for me but it doesnt matter coz the club won’t sell’ LOL.. Such a clause is the stupid and indifferent. Most likely he has a release clause and that’s the 40 mil or there is no clause at all – or Liverpool management are weird. That could definitely also be the case!
Don’t think of it as a clause.
Under the terms of his contract, Liverpool are duty-bound to inform Suarez of any offer in excess of £40m. That’s all.
Liverpool are a has been football club, move on aside please, I don’t feel sorry now that they wasted 75 million on shitty English players after they want above top dollar for damaged goods.
At least they win things from time to time, Arsenal have gone how long without winning a trophy?
LiverFool have gone how long without a title????
Mug!
and what are Arsenal then?? never has beens? even us has beens have won something in last 9 years
we need suarez @ emirates
the papers have said there’s a buy out clause, liverpool fans know as much as arsenal fans about any clauses. LFC better hope there isn’t one, liverpool
win trophies but where is their current position amongst England’s finest- with the swanseas of this world just about challenging for europe with their main target finishing above sixth placed everton.
If there was a buy-out clause, somebody would have triggered it and done a deal the moment the transfer window opened. £40m is very reasonable value for a world class striker.
Anyway, Arsenal is a tough sell to any world class player. Sure, they might be in the Champions League but they aren’t likely to win it or anything else. If that’s his only offer, Suarez may as well stay put and play for his dream move next summer instead.
I’m not sure any club with a decent strikeforce would take the chance of signing the most controversial player in european football for a fee as much as £40m. It has to be a club with great finances who’s in desperate need of a great striker. Such club is Arsenal – not united, chelsea, city, barcelona, real madrid and so on. In addition, there are plenty of other uncontroversial world class strikers available for less money. But for Arsenal this could be the only one willing to join them as they can’t guarantee that they will be battling for the championship as they havent won in so many years.
“Anyway, Arsenal is a tough sell to any world class player. ”
I suspect they are a little further up the pole than Liverpool. Arsenal are perennially the nearly men, just a little short of success. Any good player will believe that they are the man to make the difference. In addition to champions league there is the style of play that Arsenal play that is very attractive to good players. These men have egos and the chance to win stylishly, rather workman-like, will flatter their dreams of legend status.
I suspect Liverpool would rather he went abroad, but I can see the attraction of Arsenal to Suarez.
No doubt, with Champions League football, Arsenal are a more attractive proposition than Liverpool at present.
But they aren’t a more attractive proposition than Real Madrid, who Suarez spent the whole of June flashing his knickers at.
To keep Suarez, Liverpool will have to offer him an improved contract with a bona-fide release clause that keeps his dream move alive.
Would Arsenal be willing to offer him the same?
When was the last time you won the champions league or any major trophies? Suarez will be sold to the likes of Real Madrid not Arsenal so that looks like another striker Arsenal will miss out. Liverpool are a team in transition, watch liverpool bring in Michu as a replacement, ba bang! YNWA
Never mix up transition with extinction ..the dinosaurs did that!! Now that’s Ba Bang… YMCA
Cant wait to see this guy in an arsenal shirt
Any news about Higuan?
Dream on!!! If there is a buy out clause, Suarez already fly straight from Montevideo to London and negotiate with Arse…no need to go to Melbourne to join Liverpool FC tour… think wisely…
Firstly, Arsenal would need to trigger it first. £40m is a lot for a controversial player for a club like Arsenal. Secondly, Arsenal would have to know of the clause and it seems as if Liverpool have been quite secretive about it as they know losing suarez definitely would mean another top 7-10 place in PL.
hahaha!!! can u see me? arsenal fan one of d best in england but play 4 almost 5 season now without truply and now they are looking for impossible transfer,oh no this can not happan suarez to arsenal please and please gunner fans 4get it.
U are a big full you don’t know what you are talking, pls just lugout and go to bed.
must u called someone a fool because of the true word u had liverpool can never sell suarez to arsena guners gun forever.
Wenger please sign for us we the fan’s
Prefer Higuain! At least he won’t bite anyone and will be available from the get go
To Liverpool fans, So you think Liverpool will sell Saurez to Real Madrid for £25 million or to Arsenal for £40 million.
Neither.
But given the choice of those two poisons, it would make more sense to sell to Real Madrid for £15m less.
Liverpool manager allow suarez 2 join gunners
Pls wenger try 2 sign suarez we need him at arsenal becouse he is the best streiker among the all streiker in the premire league he deserve sign him
Bring the man
Suarez he not bad for Arsenal
Suarez is one of the best strikers in the world wenger sign him pls.
pse wenger sign us suarez, he doesnt fit in liverpool all a poor quality players, check the likes of gerald, carragher all old players.
suarez was in holland from 2006
bergkamp was also there
?????????????
Suares is the good player like van. Persie
In my own opinion i would prefer suares any other striker arsenal intend sign dis summer and i believe wenger should go 4 rebert lewandoski of dortmond
I did not understand wenger
WOW
suarez to arsenal 0%,to madrid 10%,staying 90%
One thing is guaranteed, that is Luis Suarez is leaving Liverpool. His lack of any statement to the contrary indicates this. Liverpool are not in the champions league and he wants to play in this competition THIS season. The question is where will he go? Real Madrid or Arsenal. He will only go to Madrid if Higuain leaves, both strikers want to play and do not want to sit on the bench. If he goes to Arsenal he will play week in week out.
The bigquestion is the transfer fee.
Madrid want to pay £20 plus Higuain, Higuain does not want to go to Liverpool(No champs league), Arsenal want to pay £30 million, Liverpool have refused this figure. Arsenal will have to trigger the £40million clause and once that happens Suarez will SAY that he wants to go.
Regarding Higuain Madrid want £35 million Arsenal want to pay £25million I think the deal will get done at £28 million if it is going to happen,
Watch and learn!!!!
I can’t wait to see suarez in an arsenal jersey, wenger pls sign him?
We‘ll love to see suarez in arsenal shirt next season, he a very good talented player. Compose by arsenal fans.
I WANT SUAREZ AT ARSENAL
I don’t. The bitey racist can stay at Liverpool. He ain’t for the Arsenal.
Dats pafect enaf 2 sho ma drim club “arsenal” dat he is absalutly apafect “fit” @ our mother club!
If a player don’t want to be there then its best you sell , that’s why there is a sum of money needed to allow a player to leave , so get it done
I have to say I think Suarez is one of the best strikers in the world, but I would not like to see him at Arsenal.
We all know that Arsenal are misssing a player of Suarez’s quality but for me he is too controversial. I would rather we went for Higuain, even if he is 30m. It’s 10m less than Suarez, fair enough there are doubts over whether or not he is as good as Suarez thats opinion, but for one thing he wouldn’t miss the first 6 games of the season if we signed him and he would be a lot less likely to do something stupid.
Suarez it wil pe good to araive arsenal
I think Suarez would be good for Arsenal but is vital for Liverpool. I reckon the only way Liverpool would sell him is if Suarez himself made it very clear to Liverpool that he no longer wanted to play there. That is a tough call. Liverpool would struggle to keep a disgruntled player but it would reinforce his bad reputation.
Arsenal should kindly buy any good striker,he will fit arsenal kind of play, the earlier the better 4 us,it will enable us make good team work nd good start.
Hope Wenger puts the £40 mil up for Suarez. We can afford it and we need a world class striker. Then get Higuain or Lewandoski – Booom!
Suarez is perfect sign for arsenal
that is what arsenal need in team
