It was a deserved defeat for the Gunners and apart from the fatigue factor, excuses will be hard to find. But the number of occasions where Arsenal were wrongly ruled offside could make a point over some poor officiating.
And then there was a moment like this where Yaya Toure walked away without any sort of card for what was deemed a ‘clean’ tackle.

They also failed to highlight how everyone stopped after the whistle on girouds offside allowing him to slot it in so the arsenal fans could claim half a goal for an offside effort. It’s just not on.
No mention was made of the four obvious offsides NOT given in the first half against arsenal. Presumably as nothing came from it.

I watched the match on Saturday and in real time it looked horrendous enough. In slow motion/stills it shows just how bad it was. It was late, high, studs showing, and dangerous! As an Arsenal fan, I’m fed up with seeing this kind of horror tackle being brushed under the carpet! Toure should receive a retrospective ban for this but we all know he won’t.

How is it, that the one brain celled morons on who are in all likelihood, manUre/Spuds fans, have managed to miss the point of this post entirely. This post is about highlighting the tackle pictured above, not about how the rest of the game went. If it was a player off of their team they’d be outraged by it too. You obviously did’nt watch the whole match because the ref gave a foul for the tackle, and he thought it was a nothing challenge which i disagree with, but once it has been seen and dealt with ie a free kick, there is nothing we can do so lets forget about this one and move on to Chelsea…

We weren’t too happy about being relegated, but we were still there in our 1000’s in the old 3rd Division, as we got beat off the likes of Crewe, Wycombe and York. Arsenal cannot call upon any refereeing mistakes for the fact they lost the game. That is dangerous from Toure and should have been punished, however if the ref had have seen Wilshere’s gesture do you think he’d of been on the pitch? The decisions even themselves out.
Outplayed at the end of the day, and Wilshere’s tweet afterwards really summed him up, a sore loser. Didn’t like to see that from Arsenal who I admire and like to watch. They were deservedly beaten yet Wilshere and Wenger left a bad taste afterwards. Shame.

For me this is an argument between stupidity and intelligence. The fact’s are that football has always been a contentious game. You just have to go back to the hand of god to see how decisions dont always go your way. However the tackle looks so much worse freeze framed than it does sped up,talking speed takles, plus there was no intention there, maybe a yellow but certainly not a red, the linesman did have a bad game, but on the whole city were by far the better side. Both city and arsenal have played some of the best football in the league so far this season and I really hope for both sides the art of quality football is rewarded this season and we are both challenging. Because if utd or chelsea playing the rubbish they do, are challenging, then its a great shame on quality football.
Some of the people are talking good facts on here and some are talking if’s buts and maybe’s its the mistakes that need rectifying, takling these head on will improve your side. Match ofthe Day bore no resemblence to the game, it showed all Arsenal then when the stats came up they were all City. It wasnt the match that I saw.
