Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan took to Twitter to react to the result against CSKA Moscow in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The 29-year-old agreed to move to the Emirates stadium during the January transfer window as Arsenal’s immediate replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Mkhitaryan has made an encouraging start to life in north London which saw him pick up the ‘Player of the month’ award for March.
However, his season might have been brought to an early end by an injury he suffered in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final tie against CSKA Moscow last week.
After winning 4-1 on the night, many expected Arsenal to easily secure a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
However, the Russian side gave Wenger’s men a stern test on Thursday which required goals from Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey to save the day.
And after watching his teammates come from behind to secure a place in the next stage of the Europa League, Mkhitaryan took to Twitter to applaud the players…
