Mesut Ozil took to Twitter to express his delight after the victory over Watford on Sunday.

The midfielder came into the season with a lot of uncertainty surrounding his future after refusing to renew his contract at the club during the summer.

However, following the departure of Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, Ozil finally made a decision over his future at the Emirates stadium and signed a new contract, worth around £350,000-per-week in wages.

The former Real Madrid star has been the subject of serious criticism in recent months due to the team’s poor results and performances across all competitions.

Ozil has produced improved displays in the last two games at least and his contribution on Sunday helped the Gunners secure a much-needed victory over Watford in the Premier League.
