PICTURES: Fabregas plays first match since Barcelona
Cesc Fabregas played a football match for the first time since cracking his fibula in the 2-2 draw against Barcelona on March 31.
The 23-year-old started in his country’s friendly meeting with South Korea and did appear short of full match fitness before being replaced by Xavi after 58 minutes.
But Fabregas was not the only below-par Spaniard in the affair held in Innsbruck, Austria.
Indeed, Spain continued their unconvincing form in immediate friendlies ahead of the World Cup – stuttering to beat Saudi Arabia 3-2 last week before taking 85 minutes to find the breakthrough against South Korea in a 1-0 win today.
And here were a few shots of Arsenal’s skipper back in action.

i saw the match with fabregas and he doesn’t look happy at all.
Please, stop reading into faint observations. Don’t act like the media who try to pick out any random tiny thing, string it together and try to make any point/story out of it as much as they can.
If you want to know what mood Cesc is in, go speak to him!
@verminator how on earth did you deduce that!!!! This was his first match in 9 weeks and he was still one of spains top performers. I think he only misplaced one pass all match. Besides from a little rust he put in an exceptional performance. In my view non of his off field drama seemed to be bothering him. Looked to me that he took wengers advice and is concentrating solely on the world cup
(SIGH) some people act like they know everything
it does not matter how the look on his face was yesterday, what matters is that he is an arsenal player and no psychologist can pretend to know what is on fabregas mind except that he fully believes that arsen will take right decision that will benefit both the club and himself. and the best he can do now for himself is to concentrate on regaining his fitness for the up coming wolrd cup and put up a magnificient performance.
