Arsenal’s solitary signing of the January transfer window officially put on the famous red and white kit for the first time on Monday night.

After securing the services of only two players during the summer transfer window as Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette arrived, Arsene Wenger was urged to be more active this month, especially after the Gunners’ disappointing start to the season.

So far, Konstantinos Mavropanos has been the Arsenal manager’s solitary signing after moving to north London almost two weeks ago.

The 20-year-old has immediately been included in the Gunners first team squad and been able to take part in training sessions at London Colney.

Mavropanos is yet to make an appearance for the senior team, but he was handed his debut in any match as an Arsenal player on Monday.

The Greek defender was in action for 90 minutes for the U-23 side, helping them keep a clean-sheet in a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Manchester United.

And here were snapshots of Mavropanos featuring on the pitch in Arsenal’s famous red and white kit for the first time in his career…
