Piers Morgan attacks Alexandre Lacazette on Twitter over this reason
Piers Morgan was not afraid to bash Alexandre Lacazette on social media after the disappointing defeat against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Lacazette agreed to join the Gunners from Olympique Lyonnais during the summer in a transfer deal which reportedly cost over £50 million.
The 26-year-old, who arrived as the most expensive signing in the club’s history in July last year, made an impressive start to life at the Emirates stadium during the first couple of months of the season.
However, the goals have suddenly dried up for Lacazette in recent weeks and he is yet to score ever since his consolation goal in the 3-1 defeat against Manchester United at home.
The France international was once again unable to get on the scoresheet on Sunday as the Gunners came out of a trip to Bournemouth without a single point.
And after watching Lacazette’s performance in the 2-1 loss at the Vitality stadium, Piers Morgan took to Twitter to attack the Arsenal star on Sunday.
Lacazette’s been awful again today. Liked him at first but starting to worry we spent £50m on a dud. #afc
