Piers Morgan, like most Arsenal fans, was full of joy as top four rivals Manchester United were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League against Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Arsenal and Manchester United have engaged in ‘banter’ moments towards each other in recent years, especially after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Red Devils’ unending transition period in the absence of their highly successful former manager has been something to enjoy for most fans of rival clubs.

After they sacked Jose Mourinho in December, United were in formidable form for a couple of months until Arsenal defeated them 2-0 at the Emirates stadium in March.

United are still in contention with Arsenal for a finish in the Premier League’s top four this season and that has added more spice to the rivalry between the two clubs.

After watching Barcelona knock the Red Devils out of Europe on Tuesday night, Piers Morgan took to social media to troll United’s new permanent manager.

And as a bonus, there was a joke about David de Gea as well…
