Piers Morgan has called for new Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to not hesitate in selling one of the high-profile players in the current squad ‘within seconds’ after the January transfer window opens.

Arsenal had to settle for a stalemate at Goodison Park on Saturday, as they fell nine points behind Chelsea, who are the side currently occupying fourth place in the Premier League table.

Missing from the Gunners’ squad in the clash against Everton was Mesut Ozil, a player who has continued to divide opinions this season.

The former Real Madrid star proved to be a controversial figure during the reign of Unai Emery and that has certainly not changed in the absence of the Spaniard.

After reacting angrily to being withdrawn from the game against Manchester City by Freddie Ljungberg last weekend, Ozil has attracted some criticism yet again.

Thus, Piers Morgan has called for new boss Mikel Arteta to get rid of the former Germany international, as soon as the winter transfer window is opened in less than two weeks.
