Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s performance in 0-0 draw against Burnley
Well-known Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan was initially full of praise for Mikel Arteta and his men before changing his mind as the Gunners settled for a 0-0 draw following a lackluster second half show on Sunday.
Arsenal have only won two games since early October and after a run of so many draws under new boss Mikel Arteta, the team was in desperate need of something different on Sunday as they visited Turf Moor.
The Gunners defeated Burnley 3-1 in last season’s corresponding fixture and after a relatively comfortable start to the game, that result from May 2019 looked likely to be repeated.
Piers Morgan took to Twitter to rave about Mikel Arteta’s system and how the players were performing during the first half but that quickly changed as the Gunners’ level of quality went down after the break.
The English celebrity’s reaction to Arsenal’s show at Turf Moor summed up how most fans may be feeling under Arteta with patches of encouragement being overshadowed by inadequate results.
It’s like they read this tweet at halftime & decided to do the complete opposite in the 2nd half just to p*ss me off…. 😡 https://t.co/r3ArsX0BxI
