Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s 2-0 win vs Southampton
Piers Morgan took to social media to react to the Gunners’ win over Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal were able to recover from their first leg defeat by thrashing BATE Borisov 3-0 in the second clash of the round of 32 tie in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The performance was much better than Arsenal’s last home game prior to last week, which saw them barely defeat Cardiff City 2-1.
The Gunners were back at the Emirates stadium on Sunday as Southampton, the first team to beat them after a run of 22 unbeaten games earlier in the season, visited north London.
Arsenal have often been slow starters in home games for much of this year but this time, they blew the Saints away with ease as two goals in the first half saw them go into the half time break with a comfortable lead.
After seeing out the victory after the break, Piers Morgan took to social media to express his thoughts on Arsenal’s performance.
FT: 2-0. Good performance. Hope Iwobi's OK, thought he played really well today until his injury. #AFCvSFC pic.twitter.com/cVeruL1XIn
