Well-known Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan took to social media to react to the Gunners’ result against Burnley on Saturday as well as the performance of Mesut Ozil.
The Gunners knew they had to win on Saturday to maintain their hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League, especially after losing 3-2 away to Southampton the week before.
Unai Emery went into the clash with Burnley having faced some criticism for his team selection against Tottenham Hotspur a couple of days earlier.
The 2-0 defeat to Spurs in the League Cup meant Arsenal were desperate to get back on track on Saturday, with the season now approaching its halfway point.
Burnley proved to be hard to break down as many expected but a double from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and a late goal by Alex Iwobi secured a 3-1 win.
It was a game which saw Mesut Ozil make a return and Piers Morgan lauded him and Arsenal’s chief goalscorer on Twitter.
