Piers Morgan reacts to Emery sacking by making this admission
Piers Morgan has reacted to the departure of Unai Emery by admitting that the former Arsenal boss does deserve to be lauded for certain traits he has shown.
The Gunners decided to appoint the Spaniard as the replacement for Arsene Wenger back in May last year, following the exit of long-serving boss Arsene Wenger.
After the decision to hire Emery, much of the Arsenal faithful felt rejuvenated in hopes of a bright new era without the ‘#WengerOut’ controversy which went on for quite a while.
However, the toxic atmosphere at the Emirates stadium fully returned this season after the team had failed to qualify for the Champions League in Emery’s debut campaign at the club.
Following a poor run of results over the past two months at least, the club decided to sack Emery on Friday morning.
And in the wake of the ex-PSG manager’s exit, Piers Morgan did admit that Emery is a ‘classy’ man who worked very hard during his tenure.
Very classy. Emery seems a very decent, hard-working man. Great shame it didn’t work out. I wish you well @UnaiEmery_. https://t.co/rsRiha5Pt3
