Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan has taken to social media to react to Unai Emery’s latest bold decision this week as the season nears its half-way point.
The new Arsenal manager moved to the Emirates stadium in May after being chosen as the replacement for Arsene Wenger, following the club’s unexpected decision to finally part ways with the long-serving Frenchman.
So far in his Arsenal career, Emery has been lauded for his ability to get his tactics across and push most of the players to work harder than they did under Wenger a year ago.
One player who has not been enjoying much playing time under the new Arsenal boss is Mesut Ozil, who was handed a new contract at the Emirates stadium back in January.
The 30-year-old made a brief appearance in the defeat to Southampton on Sunday afternoon but he was surprisingly removed from the team on Wednesday night against Tottenham Hotspur.
And here was Piers Morgan’s reaction to that decision…
Mesut Ozil left out of tonight’s North London Derby for ‘tactical reasons’. Sorry, WHAT?! For £300k a week, I’d quite like him to be useful whatever the bloody tactics.
I fear it’s more connected to ‘lack of ticker’ reasons. pic.twitter.com/gbsvTn6Qoe
