Piers Morgan took to social media to send out a message to Aubameyang after watching the striker fluff his lines from the penalty spot against Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby on Saturday.
The Gabon international was dropped to the bench on Saturday as he was left out of the starting eleven once again with Alexandre Lacazette being called upon to start upfront.
Aubemyang has been Arsenal’s leading scorer so far this season but the striker has not always been chosen as the man to lead the Gunners’ front line in games with Unai Emery rather deciding to switch things up whenever necessary.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was given an opportunity to be a derby hero once again as the Gunners were awarded a very late penalty kick in the clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Aubameyang failed to dispatch the spot kick as Arsenal went on to draw 1-1 against Spurs and here was Piers Morgan’s message for the striker after the game…
Chin up @Aubameyang7 – Bergkamp missed a few big penalties too.. it happens to the best. You’ve been brilliant for Arsenal since you joined us, on & off the pitch. Take it out on United next Sunday. ? pic.twitter.com/j6eqsy3rxD
