Jamie Redknapp has picked out what he felt was the most impressive aspect of Arsenal’s victory over Chelsea this weekend.

After five years of failing to beat the blues in the Premier League, goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mezut Ozil secured an emphatic win for the Gunners on Saturday.

The performance of Arsene Wenger’s men also saw Chelsea and in-form striker Diego Costa fail to score a goal in a match for the first time this season.

Thus, Redknapp insists the job done by Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi has to be appreciated.

“Arsenal’s centre backs have been too easily bullied in recent years by Didier Drogba and Diego Costa. On Saturday afternoon, Shkodran Mustafi wasn’t having any of it.” Redknapp wrote in his Daily Mail column

“He showed so much quality alongside Laurent Koscielny and for the first time in a long time it looks like Arsenal have found a great centre-back partnership.

“The pair are both quick and good in the air. They are strong in both boxes and will threaten from set pieces, too.”
