Arsenal secured a vital three points despite another profligate performance which saw them come  back from a goal down to win.

On evidence of West Brom’s upset in their last home game, Wenger’s men knew they could take the visit of Birmingham City lightly at their own peril.

And despite showing more enthusiasm and poise today than they did three weeks ago, Arsenal’s same old lack of killer instinct in attack meant the visitors sucker-punched and took the lead through a header from the towering Zigic.

Marouane Chamakh though, would turn fortunes in Arsenal’s favor at either side of the break. Moments before half-time, the Moroccan earned a penalty-kick for his side which Nasri courageously dispatched to pull the Gunners level.

And within two minutes into the second-half, Chamakh received a pass and danced his way through Birmingham’s defense to slot home Arsenal’s much needed winner.
