Report: Arsenal 2-2 Everton
A pulsating affair meant Arsenal had to come from behind twice to manage a draw against Everton today.
Leon Osman was left free to head in Donovan’s corner and put the visitors ahead after just 11 minutes.
Denilson then equalized with a deflected effort before the break to leave the match in the balance and with less than 10 minutes left, Everton looked poised to secure a stunning victory as Pienaar completed a devastating move to hand his side a 2-1 lead.
Arsenal were out to save their blushes again and subsitute Rosicky did so with another fortuitous effort as his shot was deflected home in injury time to salvalge a point for the Gunners.
That result meant Arsenal remained on the coattails of United and Chelsea. Wenger’s men still have ground to make up but potential champions show character on gritty days likes this.
And a point out of such an icy, feisty contest against the spirited Evertonians is just that.
OMG…WE NEED ALEX SONG!!!
fucked up game
Almunia really sucks!
Fabregas please, please get well soon.
Praying for Alex Song & Eboue’s safe return too.
spend some money before next week or davis will muller us
Need to bolster the squad-Need back-up for Song as well as someone who is capable of creating a threat up front-Unfortunately this won’t happen and come next month when we play all the top sides the “penny will drop”-but so too will Arsenal’s chances of winning a trophy!!
Another wasted opportunity and probably the most frustrating of all; as very little is required to turn this Arsenal team into Champions again!!
Guys, give them a break..
With that kind of weather, it’s anyone’s game.
Give them some credits at least.
Alumnia was the only person who played badly.
A very lucky if undeserved drawn game today. Both Cesc and Alex were missed badly, and Almunia needs to shape up or ship out. Some backup cover will be needed for Denilson should his injury prove to be serious, but just where this would come from is the question.Fortuneately,Manu also drew their game today to keep things tight at the top of the table.
Great show of character despite being down twice. Bravo to the player’s fighting spirit and never say die attitude.
i tot almunia din do much wrong…
Didn’t get a chance to watch this..
who started?
I saw from the highlights than Fran got a run out?
What about one of the reserves coming up to take Song’s place?
A poing vs a good team in this weather is not bad. We can’t win them all boys.
I’ll take it.
