Report: Everton 1-2 Arsenal
Arsenal survived an Everton fightback to win 2-1 at Goodison Park and move to second in the table.
Barclay Sagna scored a rare goal from a tight angle on 36 minutes after being teed up by Andrey Arshavin.
The Gunners then went two up when Cesc Fabregas slotted home three minutes after the re-start following a one-two with Marouane Chamakh.
But Everton refused to give up and Lukasz Fabianksi produced fine saves to deny substitute Jermaine Beckford, Steven Pienaar and Louis Saha.
The Toffees finally pulled one back via Tim Cahill on 89 minutes after a Saha knock down to set up a grandstand finish but Arsenal held on for a vital victory.

eh?
I hope the fickle fair-weather Arsenal fans take note that the Chelsea and Manu fans are not calling for wholesale changes and the dismissal of all and sundry following their teams’loss and draw respectively.Real fans support their team through thick and thin.As i have said before, the level of play from the so-called minnows in the EPL has improved drastically in recent years, and there are no more easy or sure win games. The win against Everton was hard-earned,but well deserved. We have to continue fighting to the end.The often maligned Fabianski was really “FAB” today,my MAN OF THE MATCH by far.
Djorou , Chamakh , Nasri, Fabregas, Fabianski. All Played Fantastic at Goodison.
Its A Great leap Forward Knowing That Chelsea An Manu Lost And Drew Respectively.
Well said ardentgunner!
Thanks mate.
