Report: Man. United 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal succumbed to a very predictable defeat at Old Trafford as Wenger’s were humbled once again on Saturday.
It may be fair to argue that it was Arsenal who really humbled themselves, because their show against last season’s runners-up was that of a side so intimidated that they lost the game before it even began.
Indeed, the scoreline flattered the Gunners who were spared by some poor finishing from the hosts – including a missed penalty from Rooney which failed to give United a 2-0 advantage going into the break – after Van Persie had scored with his first touch of the game following Vermaelen’s disastrous error after just two minutes.
The Gunners returned from half-time with some fight but they failed to throw a solid punch and so Evra sealed the argument with a second for United. Jack Wilshere was then sent off for a second booking but Santi Cazorla snatched a fantastic consolation goal with the last kick of the game.

so, van persie scores, our talisman get red carded while cleverly walks, yet another penalty that may have been overlooked as it was not intentional and hands relatively close to his body.
the beautiful football that arsenal used to play the one i fell in love with is not what it used to be. anyways COYG! on to the next!
Wilshere is not our talisman. Shut up. That boy is overrated. He gets praised just for doing better than Denilson.
Our talisman may be Cazorla. Then again when you have a whore like Vermaelen in your defense calling for goals to come in, then your talisman can’t decide the game.
If we don’t concede today, then Cazorla’s goal is 1-0 Arsenal.
Whore? Get a grip, man.
Same old Arsenal, pretty clueless and pretty much toothless!!!! Keep selling your best and keeping the crap and relying on injury prone players Arsene and there’ll be plenty of days like this ahead.Far to many have happened already this season, some people never learn or they’re just to stubborn!!! Will we ever see a great Arsenal side again? I for one doubt it under Arsene,G man and Silent Stan.Profit before Victory!!! God it Hurts.
I say get George Graham. He will stiffen the gunners defence ,not the FM. He is deluded if he thinks his short passing game will win games. Maybe against the minnows but not the top teams.
In short he is to blamed for the present woes, defence and attack.I now believe Clichy when he said Wenger dosen’t practise defnce drills. That is why the gunners ar e conceding goals all ove r.If Arsenal lose to Schalke and finally fail to get to the ko rounds, that will show how rapid the decline has been. I doubt the gunners can challenge by 2014. By then the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea will be in another orbit.
Get George Graham?
Tell yo what, count to 100′ take a few deep breaths, make a cup if tea and then make a considered comment.
Seriously, wenger has lost the plot. Its seems every season im just hoping that no one equals our invincibles record. Right now im just waiting for man city to lose. When man city lose, thats the most joy ill get from this season coz arsenal will definitely finish a mediocre mid table.
If Arsenal don’t go on winning streaks(perhaps with just ONE or TWO draws
) till January 1, and if those at the Top 5 at the moment(as at Week 10) don’t drop points by then, then the Top 4 WILL elude them this season!
Wow Wenger has really lost it Walcott on the bench to start with Ramsey wide? WHAT is he thinking Ramsey is not that good as it is and has never shown any skill out wide. he is not a winger. with the squad we have Wenger needs to forget the 4231 shit it is not working. It only seemed to work last season because RVP was so good. Any other player upfront and they just seem to be wasted with no service. ONLY when Walcott or Arshivin come on is there any chances created. Podolski is not a winger and with out the pace of Gibbs on the left there is nothing down that side. Podolski played as he is for germany and he can be effective. On this team he and Carzola just get in each others way with Podolski conceding the ball to Carzola most of the time when he should be making runs off he ball for Carzola to play him in out wide but that again is not Podolski’s game it is not Arshavins ether but he adapted better then Podolski is (actually think it is because the little Russian is a better player then Podolski even though he is not popular with many Arsenal fans) I also wondered why Arshavin in his second season was so out of shape and playing at half of what we saw that spring when he first arrived. I know think HE was unhappy with the rest of the team the board and Wenger and he stopped working hard (not saying that was the proper way to handle it but I understand it) NO There is more wrong at Arsenal then just the players in the pitch. I think RVP had enough as well and that is the real reason he left and also the reason Walcott is yet to sign a new deal Arshavin would be gone if there was team that wanted him and had the money to meet his wages. And Wilshire? I know he is the darling of you English fans you where all waiting and hoping for his return but frankly I do not understand why he has never shown anything except potential we need proven success not potential to build a team around and THEN you can work players like Wilshire into the squad as they gain experience training for true stars everyday in training NOT depend on them to be a Super star over night. This Arsenal has no real top level players anymore none. Where is the Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pirès, Overmars type players the Quality that stands out. Where is Arsenal’s Zidane where is that player that has skill to single handed create something of true brilliance. We once had that in combination with a solid squad around them. When RVP signed at Arsenal that is the type of team he thought he was joining then he saw all the quality go and only he was left (and he too would have been gone sooner had he not had injury problems) No this team was ruined the day Bergkamp hung up his boots.
and Henry and Fabregas left for Barcelona. They have not had that level of player except RVP and when Henry returned on loan since. When was the last time you saw a Arsenal player create a moment of true brilliance since Henry and Bergkamp? RVP was a goal scorer no doubt but I still think even he was not at the level of the other Dutchman and the dutch connection of Bergkamp and Overmars that was brilliant sadly that is all we have left is to remember what once was. It is not even worth watching Arsenal at the moment even 2 years ago at least they still played attractive football now heck it is just dismal I know know what it is like to be a Sunderland or Villa supporter I really have a new found respect for those teams supporters as I don’t know how you can continue to support a team that has no chance to win year after year after year. What do you do just hope your team stays in the top flight so you can get to see the top teams when they come to play you at home? I mean really I really want to know as I feel I have to get used to a new normal at the Emirates as we have become just like those teams. (and can only long for those days at Highbury)
you should write your own blog, very good points made
Once again- Arsenal had plenty of possession but could do nothing with it. Jack tried to drive Arsenal forward as Ramsey has tried in the past, but to no avail. Yes- the wide players are not helping with the lack of pace. Yes the front man is not as clever and fluid as Henri or even Adebayor at his best. But the main problem is that Arteta and Cazorla are not the dynamic CMs Arsenal require to turn possession into chances, Flamini and Fabregas were better. Song and Rosicky were better, not because they passed better but because they MOVED better, linked better and got the ball , and themselves, forward faster. Study how Manure do it with midfielders no better than ours. Caz should be where Pod is. Ramsey should be where Caz is and the Coq should be where Arteta is, Wally should be where Giroud is and the Ox should be where Ramsey is. Driving forward, running behind and movement to lose markers is what creates chances.
Arsene is hampering us with his current selections of square pegs, Lets get some dynamism in there.
Absolute shite post and hopelessly pessimistic…..the bloggers are worse!
