Report & Video: Leeds 1-3 Arsenal
A late Robin van Persie header helped Arsenal finally see off brave Leeds 3-1 in their FA Cup third round replay at Elland Road.
Samri Nasri put the Gunners ahead in the fifth minute after latching onto an Andrey Arshavin cross.
Bacary Sagna then doubled the visitors’ advantage on 35 minutes when blasting home a loose ball after Andy O’Brien had tackled Nicklas Bendtner.
But Bradley Johnson hit a long distance piledriver two minutes later to give Leeds renewed hope.
Dutchman Van Persie was introduced into the action and scored the decisive header from a Bendtner cross with 14 minutes remaining to book a clash with Huddersfield in the next round.

Fabulous away support as usual…..
Arsenal are a class act but Leeds battled bravely if not too defensively against a top 4 team. The defense was solid again and the more I see the pairing of Kos and Djourou the more I like it. when Vermselen returns, we will have a solid back 4 since Sagna is back on his game and Clichy/Gibbs are in form as well.
Song was very effective in breaking up play as was Cesc but Arshavin and Bendtner were lazy and mostly ineffective.
Wenger made substitutes at the right time and RVP showed that he is top of his game again. Nasri is also a master attacking midfielder and the entire team looked strong, despite a drop in the 2nd half.
It was a brave Leeds performance, but a more classy one by the gunners. RVP is starting to get back to himself[touch-wood], so lets just hope nothing goes wrong now !
What a lovely game up gunners.
