Reserves coach gives account on Nasri & Fabianski
Samir Nasri and Lukasz Fabianski made a good impression on their boss yesterday.
The duo had been missing due to a severe injury and major surgery respectively but finally made a welcome return to action for the club’s reserves on Tuesday night.
Nasri – who racked up 58 minutes of the 2-2 draw at Wolves – expressed his delight after the match and Fabianski, after seeing out the entire 90 minutes, would be equally be thrilled.
Arsenal’s French midfielder still feels he is short of being match-fit for the first team but Reserves coach Neil Bandfield was impressed his performance altogether.
Nasri and Fabianski may have shown enough to be drafted in the squad that visits West Ham on Sunday.
“I thought Nasri looked very sharp and also Lukasz’s handling was excellent at times and I think they were good for us tonight.” Bandfield said.
Nasri, you’re my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyone see what Arsen had to say this week? BRILLIANT!
“I believe this team, this year, will do it. When I say that, it is not to please [supporters] but because I am really convinced of it. Whether we win the Premier League or the Champions League, there is no choice; we want both. But I know it’s vital for a club like ours to fight for the championship. The championship is every week, every three days and it is vital that we win it. We know it’s very tight. So it is down to how resilient, how consistent, intelligent and united we will be. It is where you have to show unity and strength, that is what has always made Arsenal special.”
give a team some belief and they can concur the world! This is a special group of lads, I expect many great things to happen in the future with this group. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see a CC, FA, Prem and a CL championship from this group. Not all in one year but in the next 4 for sure!
Up The Gunners…
