The duo had been missing due to a severe injury and major surgery respectively but finally made a welcome return to action for the club’s reserves on Tuesday night.

Nasri – who racked up 58 minutes of the 2-2 draw at Wolves – expressed his delight after the match and Fabianski, after seeing out the entire 90 minutes, would be equally be thrilled.

Arsenal’s French midfielder still feels he is short of being match-fit for the first team but Reserves coach Neil Bandfield was impressed his performance altogether.

Nasri and Fabianski may have shown enough to be drafted in the squad that visits West Ham on Sunday.

“I thought Nasri looked very sharp and also Lukasz’s handling was excellent at times and I think they were good for us tonight.” Bandfield said.
