That is why this summer, Red London has introduced a new ‘Rival Watch‘ feature to cover all major moves happening at Arsenal’s most likely title rivals for the coming season.

Here is this week’s major news:

CHELSEA

http://img.skysports.com/09/12/68x60/neymar_2392688.jpgBrazilian side Santos claim they have rejected a bid of €20 million from Chelsea for 18-year-old star forward, Neymar.

Talking of Brazil, Chelsea star Deco says he wants to leave the club to return to his native Brazil. The out-of-favour midfielder says he would like to link up with Fluminense this summer.

LIVERPOOL

http://img.skysports.com/10/07/68x60/Joe-Cole_2477223.jpgLiverpool have secured the services of free-agent Joe Cole on a four-year deal. The former Arsenal target has completed what is a superb deal for both club and player as Liverpool, in theory, have swapped Benayoun for Cole and also earned an additional £5 million.

But the reds may one day rule the exit of 21-year-old promising left-back Emiliano Insua whom they sold to Fiorentina on Saturday. The exit of  Insua, whose only goal for Liverpool was a stunner against Arsenal in their 2-1 Carling Cup defeat at the Emirates last year, has left Liverpool in desperate need of a capable left-back.

MAN. CITY

http://img.skysports.com/09/11/68x60/Didier-Drogba-Chelsea_2391574.jpgDidier Drogba’s agent claimed earlier today that his client is in talks with Manchester City (who just can’t have enough strikers) over a £20million move, but the Premier League champions have issued a statement that their key striker is simply not for sale.

The wife of City striker and former Arsenal ace Emmanuel Adebayor gave birth to a bouncing baby girl last month.

MAN. UNITED

http://img.skysports.com/10/07/68x60/Chris-Smalling_2478482.jpgSir Alex Ferguson insists that he is ‘comfortable’ with his current Man Utd squad and has hinted that he is unlikely to make any more additions.

United’s only major singing of the summer (apart from Mexican striker Hernandez) was the arrival of defender Chris Smalling whom they snatched from Arsenal’s grasp during negotiations with Fulham.
