Rob Holding is growing into an Arsenal fans’ favourite by the week and there are a lot of valid reasons why that is the case.
The 21-year-old moved to the Emirates stadium last summer in a £2.5 million deal, leaving his childhood club Bolton who had been relegated to League One.
After making consecutive starts in the Premier League at the beginning of this campaign, Holding found playing time hard to come by until recently.
Arsene Wenger’s switch to a back three has seen the youngster show off his potential in several games which the Gunners have won over the past month.
As a result, Holding has received rave reviews from the Arsenal faithful with the most common praise suggesting that he is a superior talent to Manchester City’s expensive young centre-back John Stones.
And when a fan told him about that in person ahead of last Saturday’s match, the defender did not appear to disagree.
