‘Sell him to raise money’: Some fans bash this Arsenal player after 2-1 loss
A number of Arsenal fans lashed out at one of the players who finished the game on Sunday as the Gunners suffered another defeat in the Premier League.
Having sacked Unai Emery, Arsenal decided to appoint Mikel Arteta as the team’s new head coach and the former Manchester City man took charge of his second game on Sunday.
With several key players currently nursing their injuries on the sidelines, Arteta did not really have a strong bench of options for the clash with the Blues.
Perhaps to the surprise of some, the Arsenal boss decided to substitute Mesut Ozil – who was having a great game – for Willock on Sunday.
The young midfielder was not involved from the start of course, but his energy was apparently needed by Arteta in the final quarter of the game as he brought him on, while summer signing Nicolas Pepe was overlooked.
Here were some reactions on Twitter to Willock’s display…

Second game in a row where willock has a chance to win the game and he bottles it don’t understand why he’s always first sub and pepe gets 4 minutes when we’re losing

I feel we have given willock Many chances to impress and we shouldn't waste more, let's give it to Robbie Burton at least

One last thing: that's two games in a row that Willock fucks up a massive chance, and twice he could have squared it to someone on his right but took a poor shot instead.

Sorry to say but Willock is not ready.he needs a good loan move …We lacked dept today on the bench and no real players that cud have come on to keep the momentum going .
