‘Sell him now before the season starts!’ – Fans bash Arsenal star after his performance vs Sydney FC
The Arsenal fans did not have praises for Danny Welbeck following Thursday’s victory over Sydney FC in a pre-season friendly.
Arsene Wenger’s men managed to see off the Australian outfit 2-0, courtesy of goals from Per Mertesacker and new signing Alexandre Lacazette.
However, in between those strikes, the away side were awarded a controversial penalty which was then missed by Welbeck.
The 26-year-old, who has been troubled by injuries over the past two years, is participating in his first pre-season since joining the Gunners from Manchester United in 2014.
But it appears as though some fans would like to see the back of him. Here were their views….
Welbeck can't even score a penalty in a no pressure friendly

Sell him now before the season starts! Welbeck has shown he isn't good enough for Arsenal level. #MUFC got rid of him for a reason. Average.
