Senderos in ‘Vermaelen’ mood, Cesc nets another charm
There were more exploits from Arsenal players to show for today’s round of international fixtures as Fabregas and Senderos found the net for their respective countries.
That was little surprise from the Spaniard but a stunner in the case of the Swiss man.
Arsenal’s in-form skipper was in the grove with Spain also – receiving Xavi’s chipped pass and finishing in the same manner with a slick lob over Armenia’s goalkeeper to net his fifth international goal in a 2-1 win.
Phillipe Senderos also took his all-time tally for Switzerland to five goals in sensational fashion. The 24-year-old not only scored a double with his head early on but did so in very quick succession. Two minutes separated Senderos’ sublime headers as his country went on to thrash Luxembourg 3-0 in their World Cup qualifier.
Thanks for the goals… I hope Senderos still have a future in Arsenal.

Let’s hope that the exploits of the Arsenal players while on international duties can be carry forward the next Barclays Premier League match.

Don’t forget about Billy Gallas…he headed one in against the Faroe Islands too. Funny I used to think that Gallas scored a lot for a defender…then we got Verm
REally happy for Senderos, lets hope he can grabs his chance when he gets it cos we gonna need him in the 2nd half of the season!! Do u think AW has finally been working on set plays…the way all our defenders are showing good heading ability!
Any highlights of Cameroon?
