Shkodran Mustafi reacts to Arsenal agreeing two transfer deals
Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has taken to social media in reaction to the Gunners’ two outgoing transfer deals so far in the January window.
Arsene Wenger had a relatively quiet summer transfer window as two players were signed before the exits of Gabriel and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
However, the winter transfer window has been a fairly busy one so far with the likes of Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin leaving the club.
The duo were amongst the longest-serving players remaining in the current Arsenal squad.
However, following several years in north London, Coquelin and Walcott have said goodbye to the Gunners over the past week.
And after witnessing the duo complete their moves to Valenicia and Everton respectively, Shkodran Mustafi has taken to Twitter to send out a message to his former teammates.
The Germany international’s farewell to Coquelin and Walcott is particularly interesting since both of their new destinations are clubs Mustafi himself has played for.
??? Two great characters and professionals have left us. I wish you all the best Theo @Everton and Francis @valenciacf – say hello to them for me ?. Thanks for being part of my journey, I'm sure our paths will cross again. All the best guys, you deserve it. pic.twitter.com/Jel6srQIsI
