Silva names two Arsenal players he has enjoyed watching under Arteta
Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva has picked out two players he has enjoyed watching in the last few games under the management of Mikel Arteta.
After failing to secure a spot in the Champions League last term, the Gunners made a horrible start to this season under Unai Emery, prompting the club to sack the Spaniard.
Following the arrival of Mikel Arteta last month, there has been a clear sense of improvement from the team, even though most of the results are still not going Arsenal’s way at the moment in the Premier League.
Under the management of Arteta, Matteo Guendouzi, who was often one of Emery’s first names on the team sheet, has been demoted to the bench.
That has seen the new Arsenal boss keep faith in the likes of Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira at the heart of the team’s midfield.
And according to former Gunner Gilberto Silva, the duo have been encouraging to watch so far under Arteta.
I've seen the last few games Xhaka and Torreira play together, this is good stability and confidence in the team.
