Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has given his prediction about how Arsenal will fare in the League Cup ahead of Tuesday night’s clash with Norwich City.

The Gunners are heading into to the fixture having won their last two games against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League and Everton in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger is expected to make several changes to the team which thrashed the Toffees on Sunday as he looks to give fringe players and youngsters a chance to impress.

And even though Arsenal may have a weakened side out there, Sky pundit Charlie Nicholas is backing them to thrash the second-tier outfit 4-1 tonight.

“It will be another strong Arsenal side with a couple of youngsters in there. Arsene Wenger has the depth at his disposal to take care of these sort of games.” he said

“There’s a little bit of momentum building and I’d expect to see Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott pressing their claims for more time in other competitions.

“Norwich’s confidence should be high after another away win over their rivals Ipswich, but this Arsenal squad is strong enough to go and win this competition. Prediction: 4-1 and Theo Walcott to score first”
