Sol Campbell handed number 31
Sol Campbell is now an accepted member of the Arsenal squad.
Arsene Wenger made history last week by re-signing a former player for the first time with free-agent Campbell arriving as the manager’s sole signing of the January transfer window so far.
The 35-year-old impressed for Arsenal’s reserves against West Ham on last Tuesday and signed a six-month contract with the club on Saturday afternoon.
Campbell has come to provide experienced back-up for much preferred centre backs Gallas and Vermaelen and is reportedly on a £20,000-a-week wage at the club.
On his second coming though, Sol could not reclaim the number 23 shirt which he previously modeled so the former Spurs man has been handed the number 31 jersey.
Hi, this was announced by Arsenal on Friday night when he was signed. Thanks for confirming it.
Cheers. Just informing the many.
No worries, good job. Not many people read the offical website, so it’s good of you to update us
LOL, how old he looks especially in the eyes. I hope these are wise eyes that will lead us to the title. Maybe not with a presence on the pitch but “infecting” the others with a champions character, they’re already starting to feel it.
Fantastic bro, hope his weight will ease him to run
23, what Number is Arshavin? H is 23 too, they won’t swap his shirt will they!
Good signing…

Sol is “solid” at the “back”.A good recall who can only help the young players down the home stretch.
