According to various claims, Arsene Wenger is now considering the signing of defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla.
The Poland international moved to La Liga from Reims in 2014, contributing to Sevilla’s Europa League triumph last season.
Members of Arsenal’s scouting staff were reportedly present at the the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, Georgia to watch Krychowiak in action on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old, who has has been tracked by Arsenal for the past 18 months, was in action for the entire 120 minutes of football as Sevilla lost a dramatic 5-4 affair to Barcelona in the UEFA Super Cup.
According to The Telegraph, Krychowiak’s club are demanding a fee of around £22m bid for the player.
