Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has given his thoughts on where Arsenal will finish in the Premier League this season.
The Gunners began this campaign challenging for the league title before a dramatic collapse in the second half of the season saw them drop outside the top four.
Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over West Ham on Wednesday was their first win in the competition since early February, almost exactly two months ago.
And such is the below-par recent form of Arsenal that Gerrard does not believe Arsene Wenger’s men will produce a last-gasp push for a top four spot.
Indeed, the ex-Liverpool star insists the Gunners are on course for a finish outside the Champions League place.
“I think Manchester City will get in there and Liverpool will be the other team.” Gerrard said after Wednesday’s matches
“I think Manchester United and Arsenal will miss out – that’s my prediction.”
