Marouane Chamakh feels the perfect fit for him will be partnering another striker upfront.

The Moroccan striker can lead a frontline alone and is also gifted with great aerial ability.

But Chamakh suggests he is not ‘selfish’ about scoring goals and enjoys linking up with a fellow frontman.

Thus, Wenger may have to alter a few tactics from last season if he is to deploy key forward Robin van Persie and Chamakh in the same line-up.

Back to 4-4-2 perhaps? Chamakh would certainly not mind.

“I can play the way Arsenal play, but I can bring something more with long balls towards me if we are struggling. I’m strong in the air. I love scoring goals but I am not obsessed with it. I am not a very selfish striker.” Chamakh said.

“We (Adebayor and I) have a similar playing profile. I guess with my height and my qualities in the air, playing in England was always my best option.”

“My favourite position is up front with another striker as I think I can complement another forward perfectly.”
