Arsenal will have captain Cesc Fabregas available after a chest infection, but Samir Nasri has been ruled out for a month after minor knee surgery.
Laurent Koscielny is suspended following his red card at Liverpool, so Alex Song or fit-again Johan Djourou might return at centre-back.

Preferred line-up (first-team turn):
Van Persie should be ready to start while Song and Fabregas are much needed in central midfield with Wilshere proving a bit short last week and Nasri injured, while Diaby is still a skeptical choice.
Arshavin, whom Wenger defended as being ‘tired’ after last week’s poor show, should be rested for a much energetic Rosicky.
Last year, after the Everton opener, Wenger chose to rotate his first-choice fullbacks Clichy and Sagna for the first home game of the season against Portsmouth. I think doing so again this time will me very beneficial.
Also, we will get a chance to see if there are fullbacks who can put in better crosses for Chamakh.
So what’s your line-up?
