The XI: Arsenal vs Burnley
Welcome to the ‘The XI’ where you name your starting line-up of preference for an upcoming Arsenal match based on the team status from injuries to suspensions.
Team Status:
For Saturday’s Premier League clash with Burnley, only Aaron Ramsey, Alex Song, William Gallas, Robin van Persie, Kierran Gibbs and Johan Djourou should be definite absentees.
Abou Diaby has a ’50:50′ chance to make the squad according to Arsene Wenger while Andrey Arshavin and Denilson are likely to feature.
There is a doubt over Sol Campbell but Carlos Vela is ruled out due to a possible late arrival from international duty with Mexico.
Preferred line-up:
Conditions:
Denilson should be dropped for Diaby if the latter is fit enough to start while Campbell should start (ahead of Silvestre) should he shrug off his fitness concerns.

Home to Burnley who have the worst away record of any team in the league, Walcott has to start!
Also Eboue player full match midweek Theo just over half( a few miles up the road).
I like the lineup above, but why not try Nasri out at the DM role? I know that’s not really his strength but if Diaby can’t go, why not plug him in instead of Denilson? It might be a half-baked idea, but I am feeling a tad panicky about missing Song.

Forgive not quite on thw subject but I am incense that Burnely are spouting physical tough talk before the game. Perhaps thyare try to intimidate us. However i think our boys are now men and will handlle it. Also incensed that somany playersare sympathetic to Shacroass not a word from players for the Strickn Ramsey. Not even a former Cardiff collegue. Poor stuff this and makes me want to spit. The guy gets call for England during a suspension – what is going one. Honor the guy fot late leg braking tackle! I think this is the same line up that someone before me posted but I think its my favorite. I’d like to see Arshavin come on around the 60 min too so he can get start to get back into our lineup…I think he’ll finish the season strong after his time out

I think diaby and arshavin should rest or tuesday, its a must win game. Silvestre should cover for Sol as well. The line up should b something like this.

The selections look cool, my fear is SILVESTRE AND DENILSON, playing the two of them in a game is like playing ten against eleven, i don’t trust silvestre at all.
Denilson should be dropped and Fabregas take back his original role as a CM instead of Attacking CM. Then Nasri or Rosicky can be the CM. Much better idea right?
I believe that whoever Wenger selects tomorrow, is good enough to win the match. Have faith & keep the faith. Go Arsenal go!!..

Is it me or has anyone else seen the dip in form when Nasri plays?
He hasn’t done much this year has he? Can anyone correct me? I would much rather seen TR or Eboue play his roll and let Nasri come on later in the game to replace them.
Give Campbell a rest and start a very strong side that will put 4 to 5 in the back of the net. Maybe give one of the younger guys a chance to play with Verm or a chance to play in the middle?

USAG, I love ya, but I have to disagree with you! Nasri, def needs to be in the starting 11! True, he hasn’t been at his best this season, but it’s due to injuries. You will see him start tomorrow/today..haha. You will see improvement and that’s going to help us out.
More games, more minutes= better form! Same goes with, Theo.

usa, i think you may be onto something.
nasri having a not so hot season.
but i’d put nick up front – he is on form right now (to the extent he can be so. ha!). AA ,ust to play off the striker, otherwise he’s way less effective. eboue has been on lately, making things happen. he and sagna lock down their side. i say start him and possibly bring theo on at 60 or 70 mins. and i’d start sol. he’s big and strong and his head is right.
no monkeying around with the kids, the squad must take care of business.
