This almost made me cry…
Arsenal bowed out of the Champions League with their pride unharmed after doing to Bayern what the Germans did to them in London.
But nothing can sum up Wednesday’s gutsy trip to Munich more emotionally than this brief video.

Of course they have to finish the tribute with a reminder that we have 8 years without a trophy…..what dickheads!!!
@weedonald
why are they dickheads for stating the obvious truth?
Do you want to pretend that we did get trophies for the last 8 years?
It was a great and spirited performance by the team but it also showed the screaming gaping holes we have as well and that aspect is completely down to Wenger and his flawed transfer and coaching policies.
Its so sad that you and many of our fans cant understand what’s going on, the BIGGER picure. We have moved to a new stadium , we have had to sell our best players to do it. Wenger takes all the blame , when its he thats suffers and hurts the most watching stars he made leave , when he knows that with them he could have won cups.
Not to mention the oil rich clubs slashing out, look at glasgow rangers they are a giant they went bust and did not even think about buying a stadium.
The fact we are still very competative is a credit to Wenger a few more years and we can spend big and compete , even this summer with cash reserves . If he does not then slate him til them back him and the boys. They were fantastic on Wednesday!
In years to come Wenger will be remembered as the modern Herbert CHapman the manager that made the move to Highbury possible
Come on GOONERS ! please understand this
Wenger hurts more then any of us he is doing this for our long term future.
Typical AKB can’t see the bigger picture, what bigger picture, high wages for deadwood, high ticket prices, tippy tappy football outdated, terrible formation, same old errors every game, bigger picture, so deluded just the despot Wenger and the corrupt profit driven board
I can’t see the video.
3 years before city won the league did you ever hear them mention how long they went without winning a trophy same can be said about a team like Norwich how often do they mention their trophy drought??
8 years is pretty much the standard in our history before winning more trophies
only thing i would like to see is us challenge for the title more and get further in the competitions we’re almost there we just need a final push to sure up the defence and finish the last side of the rubix cube that is our attack
we should all enjoy our win in munich, it was gutting but how many teams have got a result like that this season.
we should all be gettin behind the team
victoria concordia crescit
THANK YOU! I’m glad to see there are still a few rational fans left. Before Wenger, since the prem started, the best we did was 4th. The worst we did was 12th. In the All time Prem Lg standings, Arsenal are 2nd. So perhaps Wenger is not that bad?!
Under Wenger the worst we have finished was 4th and as we all know we have always had champs lg. So this potentially is the first season under his reign that we could call a total failure. (By our now incredibly high standards, and I still think we’ll get 4th at least). Furthermore, we’ve been competing with 6 clubs who have literally spent hundreds to billions of pounds more on transfers than we have. And we have too often lost absolutely key players which would cripple most other teams. We are at last almost at the point where we have the funds to be able to spend that kind of money consistently if needed, and yet so many fans want to get rid of the man who brought us here!!?
I don’t for one second doubt these fans love and passion for the club. Like all of us we get angry, frustrated and upset when it doesn’t go our way. It hurts even more because we were on the verge of greatness and then the billionaires came in and changed Football. But you have to be rational and look at the bigger picture. If the board don’t have or want to spend big bucks, then it’s not gonna happen regardless who the manger is.
Two common phrases I’ve learnt to be true. “Better the Devil you know” and “You don’t know what you’ve got till its gone”!
Kev, you are spot on mate. My post seems to have divided opinon though. Im 34 nearly so i remember the Graham era which was great too, even if all the other fans shouted boring boring Arsenal all the time lol
The football Wenger has brought us is envy’d by many, to the point where i wonder if there media witch hunt him , in the hope he gets sacked. Other then Fergie he is the best manager in the PL , if it was not for oil money Chelsea and Man city. IT would have been a two horse race since the invincibles.
The signings this season were very good Podolski, Santi, Monreal and Giroud.
I believe a world class striker, a centre back , a strong keeper with experiance and maybe a defence-midfielder and we are in serious business again.
oh P.S thank you Fulham 😉 Reading next for us lads – spurs have Swansea ha ha ha ha another possible bannana skin.
