Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed what’s wrong with Mesut Ozil after the midfielder missed Sunday’s clash with Fulham in the Premier League.
The new Arsenal manager has done well to help his side recover from what was a frustrating start to the new season after back-to-back defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea.
One player who was receiving strong criticism last season and after those two defeats in the opening games of the season was Mesut Ozil.
The former Real Madrid midfielder has improved his form in recent weeks and he even scored a vital second goal in the 2-0 victory over Watford at the Emirates stadium last weekend.
However, Ozil was not included in the team which played against Fulham on Sunday, a game which the Gunners went on to win 5-1 after a rampant show of attacking football after the score was leveled by half time.
After missing the trip to Craven Cottage, Unai Emery revealed that Ozil was out of action due to a back problem.
“Yesterday he came in with pain and he cannot train yesterday or play today.” the Arsenal manager said
