Van Persie makes it double for Arsenal

Robin van Persie registered only his second ever World Cup goal today in the Netherlands’ 2-1 victory over Alex Song’s Cameroon.

It was also just the second goal scored by an Arsenal player in South Africa this summer – with Bendtner’s strike on Sunday coming against the same Cameroonian opposition.

Here was Van Persie’s clinical finish.

    1. Umm, you forgot about Carlitos Vela mate 🙂

He is currently injured but should be fit for the Argentina game. He sure is a key player for Mexico too.

  1. I just love his composure in front of goal. A fully Van Persie will lead Holland and Arsenal a long way.

  2. If Fabregas does leave this summer, then Van Der Vaart (VDV) must replace him. Van Persie and VDV seem to have a good understanding on the pitch.

  3. RVP at his best is a superb striker. It wud be unfair to get JC on board and make him the highest paid player. In honest fact, i wud prefer the Argentinian, Tevez, to Cole. Am sure he can gladly accept a reasonable.
Pls AW, forget about JC and get Tevez

  4. as much as i like to agree with u kidz i cant .rvp is world class and a way better person than ronaldo .but is he better than ronaldo – NO man he aint .

  5. IKD, thank you for sharing your opinion with me even though we may disagree. That’s what Red London is for. A place to share and discuss in a healthy way….cheers!
