Andrey Arshavin may give you goosebumps with this
Remember his first ever strike in Arsenal colours against Blackburn, his sublime debut season despite being cuptied in the Champions League and who will forget those goals at Anfield and the winner against Barcelona?
The Russian netted 30 goals for Arsenal before heading off to old club Zenit for a short loan spell last weekend, but watch these flashbacks of the best of Andrey, and you may not be too happy to say goodbye to the 30-year-old forever.

Sad to see the Little Wizard go. Strange, chubby genius. Miss ‘im!!
Thanks for sharing this video, Randy. Enjoy watching it.:)
Cheers, mate that’s what Red London is for!
the only thing thats wrong with arshavin is his confidence which may rise if u play him bhind RVP en a gud run of games.make him feel wanted lyk Rocisky den u ll get the best out of him.
Arshavins lack of consistancy in passing and the pace of the prem meant he couldnt play that role for us. the reason people got on his back was mainly down to lack of effort for the team, he just looked like he didnt care, atleast when rosicky loses the ball he would chase after it and would put his foot in, we can accept lack of form but not lack of effort. to be honest tho wenger should have dropped him long before he did so he is partly to blame. what a player we would have had tho if he played like he did in the first 6 months he was here. He was not the same player since russia failed to qualify for the world cup
A strong self belief will bring him a long way.
The Russian Magician!
It was not that AA did not have bags of talent, but what was lacking at his time at Arsenal was consistency. To often what we witness was a DD performance and a laziness unbecoming of a player with many years of experience.
Sadly, he reminds me of the Brighton to Luton Train. When it is on time it is fantastic service, however, the experience by many has been – cancellations and delays. AA has kept us waiting at the station on numerous occasions and two often never appeared. Just not good enough for a BiG time player. He will find himself sitting on the bench with AOC n Ryo raising the standard. Which is very saddening after a brilliant start.
Nice video by the way, but unfortunately it does not give true reflection of his overall performance for Arsenal. A perfect score would be [Average 6/10].
maybe he will come strong from Russia, and like many people say that have coach him and play with him, is that he has never played his best position behinde the triker
I think that arsenal players’ qualities do not complement one another, they lack the one ingredient that brings out the best in a teammate, and they try to prove they can. I believe that that person could be gunso, of santos.
A genius player spoilt by our manager and disillusioned by our transfer policy and vision for the future… Sad, but true…
Typical Wenger played him out of position, he was perfect just to sit behind the strike force, but on the wing Wenger didn’t use him to his full potential, another player ‘what if’, shame because he is a talented player
Just because you’re being played ‘out of position’ doesn’t mean you should act like a p*ssy on the pitch and not even give 60% effort, never mind 100%.
In fact, most Arsenal players are played out of position anyway but they suck it up and even become bigger players in that position. Alex Song arrived as a young CAM, he’s now a solid defensive midfielder. Kolo Toure arrived as a young midfielder, he’s now a legendary defender. FFS even Henry arrived as a winger and look at the striker he turned into.
“Played out of position” my ass, Arshavin just didn’t give a fuck after Russia got knocked out of the World Cup qualifiers.
time to move on guys!
there is chamberlain, ryo miyaichi, joel campbell who could take his place next season. even more if we win work permit for wellington silva. then there is serge gnabry, thats right serge gnabry i am sure you’ve never heard of him. he’s only 16 and already playing for the reserves. he could be one of our super sub next season.
time to forget andrei arshavin, he’s the reason why miyaichi is out on loan. off course we should sign players but we should also give our kids chance to develop. under performing senior players are costing them their minutes on the pitch.
i don’t wish arshavin to come back even if he regains his form, its time to move on.
and more importantly, all these kids have cost us less then what we pay for arshavin.
if you look at the way miyaichi is playing for bolton running all over the pitch helping defenders you will know what i mean, we don’t need arshavin.
His biggest legacy in Arsenal is not his goals or assists. For me it is a moment when he was brought down in the penalty area and signalled to the referee that it was not a penalty. The only player ever done that. Thank you AA and hope you will come back.
Actually, the first player to do that was Robbie Fowler against arsenal when David Seaman brought him down in the box, as far as I can remember. It must have been late 90’s… Might even have been the game when he scored the quickest hat-trick 🙂
Arshvin was ok…….nothing great, never will be. watching him walk around in games not giving a toss is inexcusable however hard it is to pick up 70 thousand pounds a week. yeah poor him
Arshavin departure is a loss. Only one of a few world class players in Arsenal. Others will be RvP, Vermaelen, Sagna, Wilshire, Song. Decent: Rosicky, Koscieny. Promising: Gibbs, AOC, Jenkinson, Coquelin, Sczerny, Yenneris, Frimpong. Crap: Djourou, Ramsey, Fabianski, Almunia, Denilson, Diaby, Walcott, Vela.
he was a lazy cunt and to boot he was fucking shit, and a player who got right on my tits
God, when he was good he was great wasn’t he?
Obviously became homesick and never truly adapted to London life. Still one of my favorite players to ever play for Arsenal. Even despite the short time he was there and how much he faded towards the end of his Arsenal career.
The guy was a genius.
mate are you joking, played when he felt like it….world class my arsenal
mismanaged by arsene wenger.
arshavin had the talent to give us 15 goals and 20 assists a season, but wenger failed to get it out of him.
playing him wide left in a 433, even after the departures of cesc and na$ri, for whom the 433 was implemented, was an abject failure.
i apologise to arshavin on behalf of arsenal. best of luck to him.
yah ithink this guy arshavin shouldnt be undamined with his skill, experience and talent.lets watch him first
He wasn’t at his best in recent time in both club n country levels
Hes not at his best but maybe some time away may spring him some new courage and zest. An exceptional player if supplemented with form, I don’t think Wenger is actually going to let him go at all. If he has persisted with Rosicky all this while, surely Arshavin will get his chance again soon.
Personally i like andrey. Just wan him to work harder in training n 2 become slimmer. His fat is the cause of jhis lack of form. And venger needs 2 play him in his perfect position
He was amazing when he joined, then became shit! He needed playing time so got loaned! End of!
No Goose bumps whatsoever . . . . a lazy, ineffective luxury that we cannot afford. Most of these flashiy clips are from over two years ago. There is more flattering images than substance, typical of teh player. An utter watse of a shirt. The Ox has more desire and passion in hi slittle finger than this poor mans Russion David Beckaham.
Goosebumps alright!!! Love it…
Maybe he went back to get form and play in the Euros then come back next season all better and roaring to go with The Arsenal!!! You don’t lose that talent n skill just like that…
