Asked for his view on Sol Campbell’s performance against Manchester City, Arsene Wenger responded with: “Maybe you should take him to South Africa.”

Even with Arsenal’s title ambitions well extinguished ahead of kick-off on Saturday, Campbell managed to show passion towards his teammates.

Here was the latest of a string of solid performances the 35-year-old has put in ever since been re-signed by the club in January.

That’s awesome..I’ve been saying every since he got back that he adds a fire to this team. He’s always the first one there to celebrate and pump the crowd up after a goal.

Keep him for next year as a moral booster.

Sol Campbell is probably the fastest CB in the English league. He should go, and on recent form he looks miles better than Terry.
