Following the rumours of Layvin Kurzawa being on the Gunners’ radar, most fans will now be conducting their own research into the sort of player that the defender could be.

The Gunners do not have too many options at left-back at the moment with summer signing Kieran Tierney already sidelined by an injury while Sead Kolasinac struggles with his usual fitness woes, heading into the clash with Sheffield United.

As a result, Mikel Arteta has been chasing the services of Layvin Kurzawa, with former BBC journalist David Ornstein even claiming that the Gunners were negotiating a deal to sign the player on Thursday.

The 27-year-old is known to be a full-back who likes to get forward very often and be involved in the team’s attacking moves. That style of the Frenchman was on full display on Wednesday as he bombed forward and earned PSG a penalty in their win over AS Monaco on the road.
