Arsenal forward Theo Walcott took to Twitter to send out his reaction after hearing about the Gunners’ latest move in the January transfer window on Thursday morning.

Arsene Wenger watched his side secure a decent result in the League Cup on Wednesday as they left Stamford Bridge with a 0-0 draw from the first leg of the semi-final against Chelsea.

24 hours after the game against Antonio Conte’s side, Valencia have confirmed an agreement with Arsenal over the transfer of Francis Coquelin had been reached.

The 26-year-old, who had been at the Emirates stadium since 2008, was actually due for a testimonial later this year after nearly a decade at the club.

And Theo Walcott, who is dealing with his own uncertain future at Arsenal, took to Twitter to say goodbye to his old friend.

Walcott remains the longest-serving player in the current Arsenal squad, having moved to the club in the winter of 2006.
