“We will not be buying a striker” – Fan fears Wenger no-show
|Last summer, Arsene Wenger pulled off a deadline day surprise with the signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United.
However, a year later, the calls for a new striker before the transfer window comes to a close have not been banished.
Despite the goals-galore summer that Arsenal have enjoyed so far in their pre-season endeavours, there is still a high demand for a marquee signing in the mold Chelsea’s Diego Costa to play upfront.
Karim Benzema continues to be the name mostly associated with Arsenal in the tabloids while other decent goalscorers could be on Wenger’s radar.
But according to the Gooner below, Giroud and Welbeck will still be Arsenal’s only senior centre-forwards when September 2 comes.
Indeed, the fan – in reaction to Sunday’s 1-0 win over Wolfsburg – has a gut feeling that the Gunners will turn to current options again for goals next year.
As a diehard Arsenal Fc fan since 2002,i know Wenger very well.He is the only manager who can’t buy success in England. He believes in the youth policy.what makes me praise Arsene,is that football will die if clubs can,t nature young talents and promote them the way Arsenal do.You cant just buy success, when all the players becomes pensioners.Where will those clubs huge spenders buy from?Yes you can buy but not nearly the whole team.Like now Arsenal needs only a striker. To be a footballer is very easy but to score goal needs talent. That is why Honry and Giroud are at war of words.Thiery had talent in striking department and Giroud is not talented that is why sometimes one on one with a goalkeeper he shoots wide.He also has no composure when has oppotunity in the box.The above also applys to Welbeck.Joseph Barasa frm Kenya.
