Arsene Wenger has displayed his full support of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The English midfielder had been plagued by injuries since moving to the Emirates stadium in the summer of 2011.
However, Oxlade-Chamberlain was in improved form last term, cementing a place in Wenger’s starting line-up during the latter stage of the season.
Thus, Wenger is expecting the 23-year-old’s progress to continue into the new campaign.
“I think he’s had in his career some bad moments,” said Wenger.
“He’s had some small injuries but last year he was much more stable.
“Personally I believe he is a hugely talented player who is on the way up. He will continute to move up beecause the potential is there.
“Today he is conscious of his qualities. Personally I believe he will be a very great player.”
