Arsene Wenger has revealed some of the plans he has in mind for the clash with Ostersund in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Gunners have settled for a place in Europe’s second tier club competition this season after failing to finish in the top four of the Premier League last term.

Much to the satisfaction of most fans, Arsene Wenger appears to be keen on winning the Europa League, having named a strong team for last week’s game.

The Arsenal manager went with an almost full-strength eleven in the 3-0 victory over Ostersund last Thursday.

And ahead of the second leg of the round of 32 clash, Wenger has confirmed that one man who will definitely be announced in the starting line-up is Danny Welbeck.

“Yes Danny Welbeck will play on Thursday.” Wenger said

“He’s getting sharper every day. In the last week he has moved forward and I think the game at Ostersunds has done him good.

“Since then, I believe that physically he is getting better.”

The striker’s playing time is likely to increase due to the exits of Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud last month, and he is set for another opportunity to impress on Thursday.
